I believe we are starting at the beginning today and figuring out what all this ABC stuff is about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So \u2013 the beginning\u2026.I grew up in church as the saying goes. I went twice on Sunday and most every Wednesday. I knew all the \u201cstories\u201d and all the Sunday School answers. Nevertheless, I was grown before I put together that Moses had to go get the Hebrews out of Egypt because Joseph brought them to Egypt in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know, I know. You\u2019re probably thinking, \u201cNo way! How did she miss that? That\u2019s the whole point of the Bible.\u201d Well, I did. I flat out missed the fact that the Bible is one, cohesive account from the beginning of time to the very last day of eternity. Don\u2019t get me wrong. I knew it all talked about God and His people. I just never realized how each account connected to and continued the previous account. (Notice the word \u201caccount\u201d instead of \u201cstory\u201d. Sounds more factual.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was even later when I realized every account points to Jesus. In fact, I am still learning how each and every chapter of the Bible reveals more and more about Him. It\u2019s amazing! He\u2019s there from Genesis chapter 1 to Revelation chapter 22. (Yes, that\u2019s another blog post as well!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I pondered this new-found connection one day, it dawned on me the main characters or objects in each of the first couple chapters of Gensis all started with A, B, C \u2013 Adam, Boat, & Covenant. That got me to wondering if I could use the whole alphabet to share the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Turns out, the ABC\u2019s first perfectly from Adam to Zion, Genesis to Revelation! I still have the folder around here somewhere where I first wrote down all the ABC\u2019s. I know that doesn\u2019t surprise anyone who knows me because I keep everything. But the questions is, why does it matter that the Bible goes from Adam to Zion?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
